EV Charge Point Installers in Newcastle, Gateshead and the North East

An electric car charger fitted at home or at work lets you charge from your own supply instead of relying on public charge points. It suits any driver with somewhere to park off street, and any business that wants charging for staff, fleet vehicles or customers. We check the incoming supply and the consumer unit, agree the charger position and cable route with you, then install and commission a smart charge point that you control from an app. Where solar panels are already fitted, we can set the charger to use your own generation first.

Free, no obligation survey.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Free survey

We check the incoming supply, the consumer unit, the earthing arrangement and where the car parks, then agree the charger position and cable route.

  2. Step 2

    Design and quote

We confirm the charger model, the cable run and any consumer unit work needed, and give you a written quote with nothing hidden behind an asterisk.

  3. Step 3

    Installation

A qualified electrician fits and commissions the charge point, tests the installation and notifies it where notification is required.

  4. Step 4

    Aftercare

We set up the app with you, show you how to schedule off peak charging, and leave the certificates, warranty details and a contact for support.

Benefits

Charge on cheaper hours

A smart charger schedules charging for the off peak window on an electric vehicle tariff, so the car fills up at the lowest rate your supplier offers.

Works with solar

Where solar panels are fitted, the charger can prioritise your own generation, so daytime charging comes from the roof rather than the grid.

Ready for a second vehicle

We size the supply and the protection with the whole property in mind, so adding a second charge point later does not mean starting again.

Business and workplace charging

Workplace bays, fleet charging and customer charge points can be metered and managed separately, so usage is recorded against the right cost centre.

For homes

Electric car charger fitted at home

  • A 7kW smart charge point fitted to the wall of the house, the garage or a post on the driveway.
  • Scheduled charging so the car fills up during the cheap overnight window on an electric vehicle tariff.
  • App control for charge limits, schedules and a record of what each charge used.
  • Solar pairing where panels are already fitted, so daytime charging uses your own generation first.

For businesses

Workplace and commercial EV charge points

  • Workplace bays for staff and fleet vehicles, sized around what the incoming supply can carry.
  • Customer charge points for retail, hospitality and leisure sites, with signage and bay marking.
  • Load management across several charge points so the site never exceeds its supply capacity.
  • Metering and back office access so charging can be reported, recharged or offered as a paid service.

Free, no obligation survey.

Is it right for my property?

  • You have off street parking, a driveway, a garage or an allocated bay at the property.
  • There is a practical cable route from the consumer unit to where the car parks.
  • The incoming supply and consumer unit can carry the charger, or can be upgraded as part of the work.
  • For a business, there is space to run the charge points without blocking operational traffic.
  • Flats and shared parking can work where the landlord or management company agrees the route and the metering.

Costs and funding

Every project is priced from the survey, so you get a written quote for your own property rather than a headline figure.

Funding changes what a project costs you. Check energy grants and funding.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I need off-street parking for a home charger?

Yes, you need somewhere on the property to park, such as a driveway, garage or allocated bay. Trailing a cable across a public footpath is not permitted. If you have no off street parking we will say so at the survey rather than quoting for work that cannot be signed off.

Can I charge my car with solar panels?

Yes. A smart charger can be set to use your own solar generation first and only draw from the grid when the panels are not producing enough. It works best with daytime charging, and pairs well with a battery so evening charging can also come from stored generation.

Can you install EV chargers for my business?

Yes. We install workplace charging for staff and fleet vehicles, and customer charge points for retail and hospitality sites. We check the incoming supply, agree how many bays the site can carry and set up metering so charging can be recorded or recharged to the right account.
